Tricoat Africa is a privately owned company established in 2021 that specialises in corrosion protection. We have over 50 years of calmative national and international experience from our core management staff in corrosion protection of assets across industries such as marine, water treatment, and oil and gas.

Hot water storage tanks and boilers
Internal protection of new and existing vessels using our Tri-Glass VE lining material. Leak repairs are done by welding and wall thickness is built up with the lining material to prolong the lifespan of steel vessels.
Panel tanks
Internal protection of galvanised panel water tanks using a surface-tolerant epoxy material as a primary barrier and potable water-safe lining material to protect your asset and clients
Chemical holding tanks and bunds
Repair and relining of assets with specialised materials to protect them against a wide variety of chemicals such as fuels, acids and alkaline products.
Concrete water storage tanks and reservoirs
Concrete repair work and protection against positive and negative pressures. We reinstate concrete tank linings using potable water-safe materials to protect tank contents against contamination

Plant components pipework, pumps, chillers, sumps etc.
Corrosion protection of process equipment such as pipework, pumps, cooler covers, chillers, sumps etc. to increase lifespan, reduce downtime and eliminate replacement costs.
Industrial floors
Repairs to concrete flooring caused by heavy vehicles and foot traffic. Installation of new epoxy flooring for workshops and warehouses and the demarcating of walkways, driveways and packing and stacking areas.
Structural steelwork
General corrosion protection of steelwork such as support beams and structures. We use specialised materials for protection in environments exposed to chemicals and extreme temperatures.
Laser rust removal
State-of-the-art method of removing surface rust and thin film coatings in areas that is dust and noise sensitive.

Abrasive blasting
Traditional method of surface preparation for steel and concrete. The process is used for the removal of industrial coatings and corrosion and to provide new coating and lining systems with an anchor.
Condition inspection – extensive assessments of plant or equipment
Extensive assessments of plant equipment carried out by our experienced staff. We work with maintenance staff to establish bespoke corrosion protection procedures and specifications to suit all environments of the plant.

Products
- Tri-Glass VE - an epoxy vinyl ester co-polymer material reinforced with glass flake. Features excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Our preferred material for the lining of hot water tanks and boilers.
- Tri-Glass PGF 500 - a glass flake-reinforced polyester resin-based coating system designed to protect steel and other substrates against attack from its environment. It is fast curing, and allows the full system to be applied within minimal time.
- Tri-Glass Surface Tolerant Epoxy - a two-component aluminium flake-reinforced epoxy coating designed to be applied on substrates with limited surface preparation. Tri-Glass Surface Tolerant is an excellent material for general corrosion protection and as a heavy-duty floor coating.
- Tri-Glass Flow Coat - a two-component solvent-free glass flake-reinforced epoxy designed to achieve an ultra-high gloss finish to increase the flow efficiency of fluids.
- Tri-Glass VE Wear Resist - a two-component vinyl ester resin containing silicon carbide and glass flake for superior wear resistance. Tri-Glass VE Wear Resist can withstand temperatures up to 100°C continuously immersed service and offers excellent resistance against corrosive mineral acids and alkalis.
- Tri-Glass Epoxy Wear Resist - a two-component epoxy resin containing alumina ceramic beads for superior wear resistance. Used to protect surfaces of cyclones or solids feed pipes subject to extreme abrasion.
